WHAT IS IT?
Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) that stimulates the secretion of insulin from pancreatic beta cells in response to elevated blood glucose levels. It is an FDA-approved weight loss medication.
Semaglutide delays gastric emptying to make you feel full longer and decreases your appetite, leading to decreased food intake and weight loss.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Initially, you will have an in-person or virtual consultation to be approved as a candidate for semaglutide. In the comfort of your home, you will administer the weekly injections with a tiny needle into your belly.
Every week you will be reassessed to adjust your dosing as we titrate you up to the effective dose. Once you reach your weight loss goal, we will titrate you down and off the medication.

Weight loss happens with healthy habits of eating right and getting physical activity. Semaglutide is an aide to get you there.
SEMAGLUTIDE TARGETS
Semaglutide targets multiple parts of the body due to the distribution of GLP-1 receptors. Some of the main areas targeted by semaglutide include:

Brain
Reduces cravings, hunger, and the urge to eat.

Stomach

Liver
